London City Airport (LCY) today celebrated the re-launch of St John’s Community Centre, North Woolwich under its new name, the Royal Docks Learning & Activity Centre (RDLAC).
A supporter of the Centre since 1998, LCY provides sponsorship, employee volunteers and donations to enable local people to engage in the many employment, education, sports and leisure activities RDLAC delivers.
Through sponsorship of the design of the new Centre brand, stationery and letterhead, plus a ‘Team Challenge’ employee volunteering day, LCY has assisted RDLAC in preparing for its re-launch.
Elahe Panahi, MD of RDLAC said “London City Airport offers invaluable resources to the community. We are very fortunate to have support of the the Airport in many different and exciting ways .With our new strategies in place we wish continue benefiting from their expertise, knowledge and commitment for many years to come.”
LCY has ongoing engagement with RDLAC through its Community Relations Manager, Elizabeth Hegarty, who has been a Trustee of the Centre since 2006.
