London City Airport begins its summer schedule this week with the addition of new routes from partner airlines, offering even more choice to business and leisure travellers.
New summer routes include Brest and Quimper in Brittany and Angers in the Loire Valley, which bring the total number of French destinations served by London City to 12. This allows passengers to take full advantage of everything that country has to offer, from vineyards to horse-racing.
British Airways begins its flights to Quimper and Angers as of 25 May, while CityJet will be increasing its twice weekly service to Brive to five times weekly in July and August 2012.
British Airways will also be introducing the island of Menorca to its Balearic programme with flights to Mahon starting on 25 May. London City Airport passengers can now take advantage of flights to Menorca, Mallorca and Ibiza and for leisure purposes.
The airline has also just announced the launch of flights from London City to Venice in Northern Italy, which begins in September. This brings the total of destinations served by British Airways from the Docklands Airport to 22.
Twice daily flights to Basel in Switzerland resume from 21 May with Swiss International Airlines providing corporate travellers with a vital link to this important business hub. Tourists can also avail themselves of easy access to the renowned cultural capitals of Switzerland.
Flights to Scotland have received a boost with CityJet introducing an additional rotation this month, increasing its daily number of flights to and from Edinburgh as well as launching a late night Sunday flight from London City to facilitate domestic travel from the capital.
