There are ATMs (cash points) and Travelex Bureau de Change located throughout the Airport.
Significant investment has gone into providing a small but sophisticated range of shops and restaurants for passengers. Tax & Duty Free is available allowing passengers to buy perfume, electrical items and top range whiskies. Diamonds or Rolex watches are also available from a specialist store. Shops include Aelia Tax & Duty Free, Gassan Diamonds and WHSmith.
London City boasts a variety of dining, bar and take-away food available from a range of outlets, some of which are exclusive and bespoke to the Airport. Fine dining is available from the City Bar & Grill or you can choose from the wide range available at Rhubarb. Coffee lovers can grab a latte and croissant at Illy or Caffe Nero.
Car hire can be arranged with Avis, Europcar (inc both National and Alamo) or Hertz. Car hire desks are located next to the Terminal building.
Significant investment has been made into expanding and developing the security search area at LCY. In 2011, the number of available security lanes doubled from four to eight to ensure a fast flow of passengers at all times.
There are six UK Border Agency immigration desks available for arriving passengers. Within baggage reclaim there are dedicated areas for both international and domestic passengers.
London City Airport has one runway, with dual ILS allowing operation from either direction.
Runway is operational from 06.30-22.00 Monday to Friday, 06.30-12.30 on Saturday and 12.30 – 22.00 on Sunday.

With the aim of moving passengers from train to plane as quickly as possible, London City Airport is ideal for passengers. Short walks within a small but sophisticated terminal, ensure passengers do not waste time when travelling through the Airport.
London City Airport has a variety of services and facilities including quality retail and catering outlets, complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary shoe-shine and extensive power points for laptops and electrical devices.
With comfortable seating in the Departure lounge, the "silent" terminal offers a relaxed and business friendly atmosphere for all passengers. There are no separate business lounges, just business class for all.
ALL aircraft using the Airport must be of an approved type. To qualify for approval an aircraft must meet specific noise criteria and be capable of making an approach at 5.5 degrees or steeper (this compares with 3 degrees at most other airports). Helicopters and other vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, and single-engined aircraft, are prohibited. Flying for club or leisure purposes is not permitted. Type approval is given by the Airport's Operations and Control Department:
