Can I book my flights online?
London City Airport has an online booking system to allow you to book flights – visit the homepage or alternatively, please contact your individual airline.
Can I use a form of ID other than my passport when taking a flight from London City Airport?
At present photo ID such as a driving licence can only be used for domestic flights. A national ID card can be used for travel within the EU area and Switzerland otherwise a passport is required for all non-domestic flights.
I think I lost an item on the aircraft what do I need to do?

Can I take liquids with me through the security search point?
Limited quantities of liquids, gels or pastes must be held in individual containers not exceeding 100ml (approximately 3.5 fl. oz). This may include:
Hair gel, hair spray
Liquid or aerosol deodorants
Cosmetics such as mascara and lip gloss
Water and other drinks, soups and syrups
Other items of similar consistency
The containers must be carried in a separate clear plastic, zip-top or re-sealable bag that does not exceed 20cm x 20cm (8 inches x 8 inches) or equivalent to one litre (1.75 pint) capacity.
Items must fit in the bag comfortably and the bag must be completely closed. At the airport security search, the plastic bag must be removed from the cabin bag and x-ray screened separately.
Are there shower facilities I can use at the airport?
There are currently no shower facilities at the Airport. British Airways does have an arrangement with a local hotel for passengers on the JFK route - passengers shoud contact their airline for further information.
Are there club class or airline lounges at the airport?
No, the Airport only has one main departure lounge.
I am transferring from one flight to another, what do I need to do?
Unfortunately there is no specific transfer area at the Airport so you will need to clear Arrivals via Customs and then go through Security again before returning to the Departure Lounge. You should leave adequate time in between your flights.
Can I take baby food with me through the security search point?
Baby food is permitted through the Security Search point but please note, the Department for Transport rules allow only “enough/sufficient for the flight”. You may be asked to taste the food or liquid.

What are the maximum dimensions of hand luggage I can take through security with me?
The dimensions of each item of hand baggage carried by a passenger through the airport security search point must not exceed: Length – maximum of 56cm Width – maximum of 45cm Depth – maximum of 25cm including wheels, handles, side pockets, etc.
How long do I need to check in before my flight?
As a guide, you should check-in with hand luggage at least 20 minutes before your flight is due to depart, or at least 30 minutes if you have luggage to check.
BA passengers can check-in, with hand luggage, 15 minutes before the flight is due to depart.
CityJet, Air France and KLM flights can check-in 15 minutes before the flight is due to depart with hand luggage and 20 minutes with checked in luggage.
For all other passengers please contact your airline who will be able to confirm latest check-in times.
Can I use the online check-in service?
Air France, BA, Cityjet for Air France, KLM, SAS and Swiss passengers can use the individual airline online check-in services.

I think I lost an item in security/at the airport what do I need to do?
The completed forms should be placed in the envelope provided by the retailer with the relevant credit card details used for the purchase. Leave the envelope unsealed and post it in the box situated between Security and the Departure Lounge. Customs collect and stamp these at the end of each day. The refund is processed accordingly and should be credited to your card.
The tax refunds are not managed by the airport.

If you are travelling with British Airways pet transport is not possible at London City Airport. Only guide dogs (for visually impaired passengers) would be allowed to travel. For more information click here. All other airlines accept dogs regardless of them being guide dogs or not.
Is there viewing areas at London City Airport?
There is no viewing areas within the airport. the best place to view aircraft is opposite the runway by the Newham council building on the Royal Docks.

If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel or alter a booking, written notification must be given to P&P Associates Ltd trading as London City Airport. The date of cancellation will be the date we receive the written notice. In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation charges will apply.
Your hotel is supplied by third party agencies. These third party agencies will have additional cancellation policies that may be applicable and in addition your chosen hotel will typically have its own cancellation policy. P&P Associates Limited t/a London City Airport will pass on any such policies or charges that the hotel or third party agency has imposed in relation to cancellation to the customer PLUS £35 ADMINISTRATION FEE. In the absence of the hotel having its own policy, the cancellation fee charged by P&P Associates Limited t/a London City Airport will be £35 per booking.
Refunds on all products inevitably take some time to process and you should allow 8 – 12 weeks for the payment to be received back and refunded to the original credit card.
In the event that we are required to apply the results of compensation claims from airlines or other suppliers, we reserve the right to charge a handling fee to cover additional resources needed to process these.
Do you have an area were I can leave my luggage?
London City Airport offers a left luggage service, allowing you to store luggage safely until you return. Left luggage facilities are available at a charge of £10 per item per 24-hour period.
Passengers need to log their items at the Information Desk, obtain a receipt and then take them to the Left Luggage room situated in Security Zone A, to the right of the Terminal concourse behind the check-in desks.
To retrieve items, payment should made at the Information Desk where they will stamp your ticket so you can pick up your items from Zone A.
You do not have to be checked in to use the left luggage facility.
