British Airways celebrate 10 years at London City Airport

10/03/2013

On 27 March British Airways will commemorate 10 successful years at London City Airport.

British Airways will celebrate with a party at the Museum of London Docklands hosted by football great Gary Lineker and Willie Walsh, CEO of International Airlines Group (IAG), parent company of British Airways. The event is guaranteed to provide plenty of entertainment, raising money on the night for Flying Start, British Airways’ global charity partnership with Comic Relief.

That’s not all…in the coming year passengers will benefit with low fares, new routes and the chance to win a whole aircraft for a day, a short break or a villa holiday for 10 guests in Ibiza.

British Airways commenced operations from London City on 30 March 2003 operating to Paris and Frankfurt.  The airline now operate services to 23 destinations in the UK, Europe and USA, with 14 brand new fleets including Embraer 170 and 190 aircrafts, a leased Saab 2000 plus two long-haul Airbus A318 aircrafts carrying over 1.2million passengers every year.
