Commenting on the introduction of the new service from London City to Oslo, Lars-Ove Filipson, General Manager United Kingdom & Ireland, Scandinavian Airlines System said:
“SAS’ London City to Copenhagen and Stockholm services have proven exceptionally popular among London business travellers, especially those working in the Canary Wharf and City districts. We are delighted to be consolidating our links from London City Airport to Scandinavia’s financial centres with the introduction of our double daily service to Oslo. The brand new service to Oslo will serve to compliment our existing services to Stockholm and Copenhagen and provide an important link between London’s core business district and the economies of Scandinavia.”
Richard Gooding, Chief Executive for London City Airport said: “Existing SAS services from London City Airport are drawing increasing business from our neighbouring business communities and we are delighted that SAS has affirmed it commitment to London City with the introduction of the airline’s new direct service to Oslo. London City Airport is exceptionally well positioned to facilitate links between the London business community and those of Scandinavia’s three capital cities. SAS is the number one carrier in the Scandinavian market and the fact that the airline has chosen London City Airport to expand its network is very encouraging.”
