Extra Flights For Isle Of Man TT Races

British Airways is laying on additional flights to the Isle of Man from London City Airport to help visitors get to the world famous TT Races this summer.

Hundreds of extra seats will be made available as spectators head to the island between May 25 and June 8 for the motorcycle spectacle.

At present eight additional flights will operate on a mix of Saab 2000 and Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft, but if there is enough demand even more flights will be added to the schedule.

The TT is the only motorcycle race in the world to be held on such a challenging track as the 37-mile plus Mountain Course. The skill, bravery and concentration levels required are immense, with speeds approaching 200mph.

Luke Hayhoe, British Airways commercial general manager at London City said: “The TT Races are over 100-years-old and attract visitors from all over the UK and abroad to watch racing in such a unique setting with the beautiful scenery of the Isle of Man as a backdrop.  There is huge demand for travel from the UK and Europe so we decided to add these extra flights with some very competitive fares.”
