Buses go cashless from the 6 July 2014.

From 6 July 2014, it will no longer be possible to be able to pay for London bus fare with cash. Visitors will be able to board on buses with a Visitor Oyster card or Travelcard. Visitor Oyster cards can be purchased in advance and sent direct to your home ready for your visit to London.

A single adult fare is £1.45 with a Visitor Oyster card and we recommend this product as it is the cheapest way to pay for single journeys on London buses.

If visitors don’t have enough credit on their Visitor Oyster card for a single bus fare, they will be able to make one more journey on a bus and top up before your next journey.

You can purchase your visitor oyster cards by clicking here.
